The 5th was a very sticky hot day in NYC. We went to the Frick Collection first, only to find out, upon arrival, the children under 10 were not permitted. Grandma and Grandpa were nice enough to take the 3 little ones. When we were finished we found all of them in Central Park, where Nicholas took his first swing ride. We then had lunch at the Boat House (and saw Jerry Springer getting out of his limo) and then went to the carousel, where Hailey and Matthew rode. Nicholas also had his very first taste of ice cream in the park...a big day for him! Later that night, the mommies and daddies went to see Mamma Mia. A great night!
On Friday we decided to go south and see a different part of Manhattan. We did a walking tour of Greenwich Village. We even saw the front of the Huxtable house from The Cosby Show. The rest of the day was spent relaxing.
On Saturday we headed home for SFO, but not before meeting Yoav and Jacob (one of Jeff's friends and old co-workers) for brunch near Union Square. Nicholas slept almost the whole way home and was even nice enough to last until 5:30 the following morning (not bad considering it was 8:30 in New York!).
We had a great trip and Nicholas did such a great job. He was an excellent traveler and is looking forward to his next big adventure!
