Easter Morning

Easter morning started with Nicholas searching for his homemade Easter basket. He was very excited to find it filled with many treats (including a sticker book, bouncy ball, bubbles, Grover book, chocolate bunny, and a few filled eggs). He also received a new folding chair for using at the park. Afterwards the Easter Bunny (Daddy) quickly ran outside to hide the eggs from yesterday, but forgot to take the plastic eggs. Nicholas didn't seem to mind. He was sort of interested in the whole experience, but, of course, was really only jazzed about finding the few plastic eggs that made it in the egg bowl. After, Mommy quickly ran inside and did a plastic egg scatter around the living room. Let's just say Nicholas has enough chocolate and jellybeans to last for a long time (perhaps Mommy and Daddy will have to help out!). A few hours later, my parents came over for brunch. Jeff made a nice fruit salad, as well as an egg and sausage casserole. I had made a chocolate bubka bundt cake the day before. And, of course, we had a spiral ham. It was a nice reason to dust off the china and break out the champagne for mimosas (if only I could have partaken!). After nap time, it's off to Nana and Baba's house for Easter egg hunt, part 2!
