Nicholas started tee ball on Monday. The over whelming response was so-so. He really likes the idea of playing tee ball, but his fear of the unknown initially took over. Luckily, Jeff was off for the day, so he was able to help out with coaxing Nicholas onto the field. He spent about half of the first practice sitting on the side, watching the other boys, until his coach came up to talk to him. She worked with him 0ne-on-one for about 10 minutes and that really seemed to help Nicholas feel comfortable. He then joined the team to work on some drills. At the end, he didn't want practice to end.
I'm hoping that within a few practices Nicholas will gain the confidence he needs to feel comfortable with his coaches and team mates because when he plays ball with Jeff, he really has a great time.
