The Daems Zoo

The imagination of a child is a wonderful thing. After our afternoon stroll by the water Nicholas decided that we should build a zoo for all of his animal figurines. When I asked him how we were going to do that, he said, "With Lincoln Logs, silly!" So, he and I carefully made "cages" for each animal. And there was quite the range of animals in our zoo/aquarium...including some prehistoric ones. I deemed Nicholas the zookeeper and he spent a good 15 minutes explaining to me the habits of each animal...and giving them names...most of the animals were named Ted. It was a lot of fun for both of us...except for trying to block Lexi from being a naughty 2 year old and busting up the zoo.
