Trip To Los Angeles

Almost 2 weeks ago now (wow, really?) we headed down to the Los Angeles area for 5 days. Jeff's mom was celebrating a milestone birthday and the whole family was there for a surprise party. And by whole family, I mean a huge chunk of the Daems clan...Jeff's sister and her family, Jeff's brother, Jeff's grandma, and 2 of Jeff's aunts. It was so nice to visit with everyone and, of course, Nicholas and Lexi loved nothing more than playing with Matthew and Hailey (or "Layley", as Lexi often screamed at Hailey).

In addition to the fabulous surprise party we also spent Easter in SoCal. The kids had fun dyeing eggs and searching for their baskets and eggs the day of Easter as well. We also had the treat of visiting with my 2 sisters one of the days as well. We took the kids to the La Brea Tar Pits, as Nicholas has been a bit obsessed with prehistoric animals and visited Travel Town at Griffith Park.

As always the trip seemed to go by too quickly. As Nicholas said to me the day after we drove home, "Mommy, I already miss Hailey and Matthew so much. When can we go to Los Angeles again?" I think that says it all!
