Baby Girl Turns 2!

Yesterday, April 13th, was Lexi's 2nd birthday. Yes, you read correctly...she's 2! Doesn't it seem like she was born yesterday? Or is it just me? Cliche to say, but two years has flown by. With Nicholas, turning two really felt like it had been two years. Maybe that's because he's my first born and everything is new, but the two years that have passed since April 13th, 2009 have felt more like a few months.

Lexi's actual birthday was relatively low key. She had to accompany me to my moms group meeting (much to her chagrin) and do the usual Wednesday school routine. After school we went to McDonald's for a birthday lunch with Kacy, Mason, Collin, and Nikos. Lexi took a nice nap and then got to Skype with her cousins.

Daddy came home from work early, and Baba headed over around 5 too. We decided that we would celebrate both Nana and Lexi's birthday that evening, since Nana's birthday is only 6 days before Lexi's. Lexi had her favorite meal of pizza and the grown ups enjoyed salmon, quinoa, broccoli, and roasted pear salad. Dinner was capped off with a homemade funfetti (white cake with sprinkles in it) pink strawberry frosting cake, picked out and made by Nicholas (with an assist from Mom).

Below are some pictures of present opening, which Lexi thoroughly enjoyed! (But what kid doesn't!)

Nana made Lexi an alphabet book on Shutterfly. It has a picture of Lexi on every page in funny situations. Both kids found it hysterical!

Loving opening presents and seeing pink

Her first robe. She was rubbing her face against it as if she was snuggling with it.

Sorry for the tilted picture! I can't fix it for some reason!! Anyway, Mommy and Daddy gave Lexi and princess jewelry box
