Last weekend Jeff and I put Lexi to bed early and decided it would be fun to spend some special time with just Nicholas. We told him it was movie night and he could pick out any movie he wanted. He picked out the 1980's dinosaur movie
The Land Before Time, since he'd been studying dinosaurs at school that week. So, after popping some fresh popcorn we hunkered down on the couch together for some good old fashioned family fun. Alas, modern technology wasn't on our side as our Netflix streaming kept buffering. It was so bad, that we had to stop the movie for the night. A Bug's Life. I think all of us had only seen parts of that movie, so it was nice for all of us to watch it from start to finish. The most fun for Nicholas was sitting in our house like a "movie theater,"
meaning all the lights were off...and of course staying up late! He asks every other day now if he can have special movie night with us...I think a tradition has been started!
Remember when my boy wouldn't smile for the camera? I think we've turned the corner!
He LOVES using the air popper. It is surprisingly yummy!
