Springhill Pumpkin Patch

On Sunday we drove about an hour to Petaluma to visit the Springhill Pumpkin Patch with some of Nicholas' playgroup friends. Unfortunately, fall weather did not bless us with its presence, and summer decided to hang around for a while. Not exactly pumpkin patch weather. The kids had fun climbing a hay pyramid, running through a hay maze, and viewing the farm animals though. But between the infestation of yellow jackets (and yes, I did get stung!) and the sweltering heat, we made an early departure. We'll have to hit up another patch before the Halloween season is over, as we didn't quite make all our pumpkin purchases there.

Look who fit through the tiny hole in the hay maze

I'm going to get you!

Lexi even climbed all the way to the top...with some help from mom

Hey, those aren't pumpkins!

Mason and Collin...the kids' favorite playmates!
