Lexi is now weighing in at 15 lbs. 12 oz (95th percentile) and is 26.5 inches long (97th percentile). Not too surprising, given what we know about Nicholas, as well as how tall Jeff and I both are. However, Lexi has gone from the 75th percentile to the 97th percentile in height in just 2 months...apparently that's a huge leap, according to her doctor.
Since Lexi is growing so fast, she's become much hungrier. Her doctor believes she's currently going through a growth spurt. Lexi was sleeping until 5 or 6 in the morning up until a week ago. Now, she's been getting up at 1 or 2 in the morning to feed. Thus, her doctor assumes she's hungrier since she's grown so rapidly. So, this weekend we will begin feeding Lexi solids, starting with rice cereal. We waited 6 months with Nicholas, so this is a little on the early side for us.
Our doctor was pleased with her development. Lexi can roll over from back to stomach, grabs for objects, has found her feet and hands, and is very vocal. She charmed Dr. Martin with her coos, belly laughs, and ear-to-ear grin. Lexi is such a doll!
Lexi continues to be such a good girl and we fall more in love with her as her personality unfolds each day. :)
