Becca's College Graduation

We spent Friday through Sunday down in San Luis Obispo (the CA central coast). My youngest sister, Becca, graduated from college on Saturday. Here are snippets of the activities we did while there.


Morro Bay: After we arrived on Friday, we headed out to Morro Bay (about a 20 minute drive west of SLO). There is a small aquarium there, which houses the resident sea lion. You can feed him fish and he is quite noisy. Nicholas loves this sea lion...I think this was his 3rd time visiting him! After the aquarium, we walked along the downtown stretch and stopped in for some ice cream.

Friday Night: The whole family went into downtown SLO for dinner on Friday evening. We sat outside at a small Italian restaurant...unfortunately, the weather was a bit chilly, but the location was great for Nicholas...he got to run around without being disruptive!

Nicholas usually doesn't like pasta, but once Bama taught him how to slurp it, he didn't seem to mind!

Avila Barn: Before Becca's graduation on Saturday, my dad, Jeff, and I took Nicholas (and Lexi) to Avila Barn, just south of SLO. We've been there before with Nicholas, and he loves going to feed the animals. He was quite upset when we had to go, even though he'd already feed the goats and cows two bags of food!

Becca's Graduation: Becca graduated Saturday afternoon. It was a short ceremony, as it was only the people in her major, liberal studies. Becca graduated with honors (cum laude) and we were all very proud of her accomplishments!

Grad Night Dinner: Becca's graduation dinner was held at Novo in downtown SLO. It was on an patio that overlooked the creek. The food was delicious! Both kids held up really well, considering we didn't get back to the hotel until after 11PM!!! Needless to say, Nicholas crashed immediately, and Lexi held out until 4:30 the following morning...good girl! :-)
