Jeff and I went to my 20 week ultrasound appointment today. We found out that the baby is a girl! We're thrilled that we will have the experience of raising a son and a daughter. We told Nicholas that he is going to have a sister, but, as expected, that doesn't mean much of anything to him at this age. Everything looked great at the appointment. They worry about heart and spine development with diabetics, but the perinatologist was pleased with what he saw on the ultrasound. The baby is right on target with weight and development as well. The technician did say she was VERY active though. Uh oh...do we have another Nicholas on our hands???? :-)
