Christmas Day

Nicholas started out Christmas morning full speed ahead, and didn't stop until bedtime! He received a few gifts from Santa at our house. Then, it was off to Nana and Baba's house for brunch. He enjoyed eating his special Christmas pancakes Nana made. He received an enormous amount of presents from his relatives. Some highlights included an easel (with chalkboard, dry erase, and paint), Mr. Potato Head, and The Jungle Book DVD. After a while, he wasn't interested in opening anymore, so we saved some for later. After nap time, we all went to visit Papa, my grandfather, at his nursing home. Nicholas was ready to help Papa open his gifts. Nicholas played with his friend J.J. throughout dinner, as my parent's neighbors joined us. Nicholas was amped the entire day, not going to sleep until 9! He had a blast, although I have to wonder if he thinks that presents are becoming an everyday occurrence!
