I digress though. Lexi found Nicholas coloring bin and has been wanting to break out the markers. Luckily, my friend Kendra turned me on to the Color Wonder books a while ago. The markers ONLY work on special paper, so Lexi can walk around with the marker without danger of her ruining her clothing or the furniture. Of course she only makes a few scribbles per page, but she seems to enjoy herself.

New Hobby
Lexi has discovered she likes to color. While we have numerous coloring books and markers/crayons, I'll be honest in saying they don't often come out. Nicholas has never had much of a tolerance for coloring. When he was young, perhaps it was I who didn't have the tolerance, since he would make a huge mess. As he's gotten older, the perfectionist in him has made it hard to color, as he gets very frustrated if he goes outside of the lines or can't make a picture that resembles what he's trying to draw. Perhaps preschool will help with all of that.
