June Highlights

Since I've been negligent about blogging, my photos are piling up and it would take a ridiculous amount of time to do a post about each thing we've done in June. So, here is a taste of what we were up to last month:

Nicholas finished up his soccer class the beginning of June. He ended up enjoying himself, even if his frustration level peaked at an all time high. Perhaps we'll give it a go again in the fall.

Nicholas started big boy swim lessons. He was a "turtle" and learned such skills as bobbing, floating, wall walking, and kicking. He is at the pool with his bud, Mason.

Nicholas did not pass level one this session. He needs to work on his back and front floats. He is currently taking level one again and doing fabulously. If nothing else, Nicholas has discovered his love of being in the water!

On June 13th the entire Herman clan (minus Lexi, Nana, Aunt Denise, and Auntie Becca) went to the Giants v. A's game to celebrate my grandfather's 79th birthday (and an early Father's Day)

Lexi is learning how to use a spoon. She's very messy but is getting the hang of it.

Auntie Ray-Ray came to visit for the weekend! Hooray!

The kids always enjoy spending time with Rachie

For Father's Day we went for a small hike and picnic to Mt. Diablo. Nicholas loved the tiny caves he could sit inside.

Happy Father's Day!

The Solano County Fair came to Vallejo, so we took the kids one afternoon. Auntie Becca was in town visiting, so Nicholas found his ride buddy.

We took Nicholas to see his very first movie in the theaters...Toy Story 3. He loved it!

Phew! That was a lot! My intention is to be better about posting in July! Wish me luck! :)
