Man, what a week! Nicholas has been sick off and on since last Thursday night. It started with vomiting for less than 12 hours. Then, on Sunday, we noticed a runny nose. A mild cold started, which normal wouldn't be a huge deal, but, for those of you who don't remember, Nicholas is VERY prone to ear infections. Coincidentally, we had just decided to take him off of his low dose antibiotics that he's been on since November (which he took daily to prevent all the ear infections he suffered his first winter). On Thursday, when picked up from daycare, he looked like a zombie and was burning up. We took him to the doc, who confirmed the fever and, yep, you guessed it...an ear infection! A week to the day that we took him off of antibiotics...that was quick! He spent the next three days burning up and very lethargic. He seems to be on the road to recovery. Of course, like all illnesses, this has greatly disrupted his sleep, so we're back to the sleep training grind...yeah for crying it out (no sarcasm at all!) ;-)
