On Friday, Nicholas invited some of his Jellybelly pals to visit Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. Nicholas, Aislyn, Charlie, and August (along with the Mommies) braved the heat for two hours of fun. The kids saw lions, a giraffe, a tiger, and a dolphin. They played on a play structure and even went on a kiddie ride. Then it was home for nap time!
On Saturday, Jeff and I took Nicholas to the Lindsay Wildlife Museum in Walnut Creek. The museum is actually a rehabilitation center for injured animals. Nicholas loved seeing the birds (an eagle, falcon, hawk, vulture, and owl), as well as the coyote (he kept barking at it, thinking it was a dog!). He also played in the hands-on discovery room. He loved it so much, we became members! A great way to beat the heat.
