Last Friday Benicia Little League held their annual "Hit-a-Thon". The goal is to raise money for the league by seeing how many balls you can hit in a certain amount of time. While the league really wants everyone to participate in the fundraising portion (of course!), I think the intent of the Hit-a-Thon is really more for the bigger boys. The tee ballers went up as a team and each hit 5 balls off of the tee. There wasn't a lot of fanfare and the turnout amongst the tee ball teams was pretty poor. Nicholas had fun though, especially getting to be on a bigger boy ball field (the fields the tee ballers play on have dirt infields, rather than grass). He did a great job shagging balls from the other batters and continues to have a great attitude about the whole baseball experience. My, what a difference a year makes!

All the Mudcats hitting at once (Nicholas is in the middle)
Here are just a few photos that Jeff took of warm-ups from last Saturday morning's game. Nicholas looks like such a ball player! So cute!
His fielding is getting much, much better
He continues to work on his throwing too
