Valentine's Day was a busy two days for us (yes, that's right, two days). Nicholas had his school party on Valentine's Day and I worked in the room for the full hour and a half. Man, it was busy. The kids made several adorable crafts and enjoyed a massive ice cream sundae bar. Suprisingly, your friend Nicholas showed the most restraint out of all the kids...just vanilla ice cream with a few gummy bears. Who would have guessed?
After school Nana, Lexi, and I enjoyed a special pedicure afternoon (while Baba was on Nicholas and Claire duty...thanks Baba!). We arrived home to two boquets of flowers sent by Daddy...one for me and a tiny one for Lexi. She was thrilled! Jeff was in NYC on Valentine's Day, but he made sure we felt the love even though we were miles apart. The kids made heart shaped pizzas for dinner and Dad made a delicious dinner for myself, Mom, Becca, and Brian, which we enjoyed after the young ones were in bed.
Lexi actually had her Valentine's Day party today (since she does not go to preschool on Thursday). She made a cute heart hat, a lollipop butterfly, and enjoyed many heart shaped snacks. She thoroughly enjoyed the process of making Valentine's for her classmates (her first time!) and was very excited to show her brother HER Valentine's bag when she came home today (and she was perfectly happy giving Nicholas all the "boy" valentines...anything with a superhero on the card).
All in all, the kids felt the love and enjoyed themselves immensely...and I'm glad there's a three day weekend coming our way. :)
