Easter 2012

We had a very fun, but busy, Easter Sunday this year.

Our morning started bright and early with finding the kids' Easter baskets. Both were thrilled with the contents of their baskets. We were able to hold them off for a few hours before hunting outside for eggs, while Jeff and I prepared a brunch/birthday breakfast for Mom.

Mom, Dad, and Becca arrived around mid-morning and we headed outside to find our plastic eggs. Our kids were very luck, as multiple Easter bunnies hid eggs throughout the entire yard...along with a few bigger treats. We then enjoyed brunch, cleaned up, and headed across the court to our friends', Karen and Steve, house. The kids got to participate in another super fun egg hunt at their house and were spoiled by all the Hughes families! Thank you Karen! :)

We stayed for a short bit but then we were off to Roseville to celebrate Passover with my family. Nicholas found the afikomen this year, with an assist from Aaron, and they both enjoyed seeing Big Baba, Bom Bom, and the rest of the Herman family.

Phew....I'm exhausted from just recapping our day! :)

She found her basket under the table

Successful finds!

Nicholas received a Power Ranger Lego minifigurine...he was thrilled!

Lexi received a new princess cup

The search for eggs begins

Always a lady!

The Easter bunny left Kung Fu Panda 2 in the bushes

He also left a chocolate bunny in the calla lilies for Lexi

The Easter bunny put some of the eggs up high, like on the trash can and on trees

And Nicholas thought the placement of the soccer ball Easter egg on the calla lily was hysterical!

Before brunch we brought out some presents Auntie Rachel and Chris had sent up from Irvine. We made them close their eyes as I brought them out.

Easter baskets from Auntie Ray-Ray and Chris...thanks guys!

Hooray for my basket!

Mmmm...Peeps!

And yes, we do have enough candy to last us until Halloween. So, Daddy was sent to work this morning with a gallon sized bag of treats to share with his co-workers....and the kids are none the wiser. :)
