Another Reason I Love Disney

If you read my post about our trip to Disneyland you saw a photo of Nicholas with his R2-D2 Mickey Mouse ears on. You also read about how we lost both Nicholas and Lexi's ears the next day. Nicholas was, understandably, none too pleased about this.

Once we realized what had happened, Jeff went to Lost and Found at Disneyland. We hoped that once the people who accidentally took our stroller realized it wasn't theirs, they would do the right thing and turn in our kids' ears to the Lost and Found. No such luck by the end of the evening. However, Jeff filled out a form describing our missing items, as well as leaving our address. I didn't actually think anything would come out of it, but it was worth a shot.

Fast forward to this afternoon, exactly a week after the ears went missing. Jeff opened the front door to find a package with a return address of Disneyland. Inside were both Nicholas and Lexi's ears! Nicholas was VERY happy to see his new R2-D2 ears safe and sound. I was happy to have Lexi's ears back too...they have sentimental value for me. She's had them since she was 5 months old.

As I told Jeff, you get what you pay for. Yes, Disneyland is expensive, but it's little things like this that make us keep going back. Oh, and a high five to the family who turned in the ears to Lost and Found...karma is smiling on you now!
