Nicholas' "New" Room

With the arrival of Lexi in the not so distant future, we figured we'd better start transitioning Nicholas out of the crib. So, today we spent a few hours reconfiguring Nicholas' room. We took out the crib and matching dresser, along with a few of his "younger" toys. Jeff put together his new toddler bed, while I assembled a bin storage container to house the numerous little cars and other toys Nicholas now has. We also added in a dresser given to us by my aunt and uncle. In a little while we'll put Nicholas' new train table in as well, but not until he gets used to sleeping in a bed...the temptation of playing with trains might be too much for right now! Nicholas seems to enjoy his bed so far, although, as I write, he's just settled in for his first night. Talk to me tomorrow morning, and I'll give you the real scoop on how he did. Here are some pictures of his "new" room, along with some shots of him seeing his new bed for the first time.

He was so excited to see the new bed that he wanted us to put his blanket on him
(Gram's blanket, as he calls it)

He even wanted to get nice and cozy like he was actually going to sleep. He even turned off the overhead light and said, "Night night!"

This is so cool! I am glad that he loves his new room. They grow up so fast - sniff.
