Lexi's 6 month check up

Lexi will be 7 months on Friday, but just had her 6 month well baby appointment today. She's now 18 lbs. 11 oz. (95th percentile) and 27.5 inches (98th percentile). My kids are destined to be tall....Nicholas has always been in the 95-98th percentiles as well! :)

Lexi's doctor was impressed with her trunk strength, as indicated by her ability to sit up unsupported, as well as how she handles herself on her tummy. She didn't seem to think her teeth were on the verge of breaking through (as Jeff and I have suspected), but she thinks she'll still be on the average end for her first tooth (about 8 months).

Lexi can now have meat and yogurt. She really enjoys the chicken purees I've made for her. I've actually tried a little bit of the food...it's not bad! :) No finger foods yet for Lexi. We have to wait until she's closer to 9 months, much to Lexi's chagrin. Lexi is very active around dinner time and will try to steal any food of your plate (if she's close enough to catch it!).

Lexi is getting over a cold right now. She's had it for about 2 weeks now, but the doctor thinks it's on it's way out. Finally! The cold has disrupted her sleep, so Jeff and I will be thankful when she's able to breathe out of her nose a little better.

Here's a picture and video of Lexi and Nicholas playing together yesterday morning.

Always a smiley girl!
