Disneyland

We just recently returned from a 5 day adventure to the Disneyland Resort. Our trip started last Wednesday, when we left Benicia at 7AM to head to Anaheim. The drive went relatively smoothly...we stopped twice to nurse and have lunch but made it in 7 hours. The kids did really well for such a long car ride. Once we settled into the hotel, we headed over to California Adventure to meet up with Aunt Jennifer, Uncle Mark, Hailey, and Matthew. They stayed the following day as well, so Nicholas had a fun time going on the rides with his cousins.

Although it seemed like a long time to go to Disneyland, having that many days was perfect. It gave us a chance to go back to the hotel and rest, without feeling like we had to race around to do all the rides.

Some of Nicholas' favorite rides were Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Peter Pan, Jumping Jellyfish (at CA Adventure), and Small World. He did go on Splash Mountain and Pirates, but did not like either one...perhaps when he's a little older he will. Nicholas also enjoyed seeing the parades (especially the Pixar Parade at CA Adventure), fireworks, and meeting the characters (Stitch, Woody, and Sully were high up on his list!).

All in all, it was a great vacation and we have a lot of nice memories of our kids' first trip to the Happiest Place on Earth!
