With Jeff's CFA exam a little less than 2 weeks away, I thought it would be a good idea to get away for the day so he could have some study time. I decided to head up to Roseville to visit my grandparents (Bom-Bom, as Nicholas collectively calls them), as well as my aunt's family.
Our first stop was Funderland in Sacramento. My grandparents joined myself, my parents, and the kids. My cousin Aaron also joined in. At 8 years old, he's at the perfect age to pal around with Nicholas like a big brother. Nicholas and Aaron enjoyed going on several rides at this small amusement park.
Afterwards, we went to my aunt's house. She has a swimming pool and Nicholas was very excited to get in the first swim of the season. It wasn't terribly warm though, so Nicholas become chilled after a short time. I'm sure we'll have more opportunities to visit and swim later on in the summer.
Everyone very much enjoyed meeting Lexi for the first time. And is becoming typical for our little girl, she slept most of the day away. However, when she was awake she was bright-eyed and pleasant...a good traveler!
We had a very nice day and Jeff was able to get in some quality, uninterrupted study time.
