Valentine's Day Pub Crawl

Back in September, for my dad's birthday, we had given him a "pub crawl" gift certificate. We would take him to some of the local breweries that we had gone on when Jeff and I did a brewery tour of NorCal before Nicholas was born. Well, 5 months later...

We started off in Healdsburg at Bear Republic Brewing, where we also had lunch. It rained off and on all day, so we didn't really get a chance to walk around much. Nicholas was great during lunch, which for those of you who have dined with Nicholas before know, is not always the case. Then we headed to Santa Rosa and Russian River Brewing Company. Jeff and Dad were able to fill up growlers and sample a special beer, Pliny the Younger. Afterwards, we stopped at Moylans in Novato. Nicholas had fallen asleep at this point, so Nana and I stayed in the car while the men went to taste.

I think Dad had a great time, as well as Jeff. Who wouldn't though?

Dad enjoys his first beer of the day at Bear Republic

Who ever heard of a 2 year old liking onion rings? Nicholas will try ANYTHING!

Nicholas brings Nana and Mommy flowers for Valentine's Day. He was very timid about the whole thing.

Bear Republic...the non-alcoholic version

Nicholas enjoys a brownie at Russian River...gotta have something for the little guy to enjoy too!
